Our pioneering portfolio
To help shape the financial industry of tomorrow, we launch our own innovation projects (Innovations) and invest in selected startups across Europe (Investments).
- Bankident PostFinance is a digital identity verification process designed to improve the customer experience and accelerate the digitization of business processes. Provided the private customer agrees, business customers can use the customer’s existing identification to simplify the process. A technical feasibility pilot at customers’ request served as the starting point.
- Pay, save, invest: all in a single app. Yuh believes that lifestyle, aspirations and personality should determine how money is managed. Yuh enables you to pay, save and invest with a single app. It’s as easy as can be, but with the backing and security of leading Swiss online banks. Yuh is a joint venture from Swissquote and PostFinance.
- Behind cardossier is a business ecosystem that aims to create greater efficiency and trust in the vehicle market. The platform seamlessly records all information on a vehicle’s lifecycle – from production to scrapping. This allows data to be aggregated, promotes shared services and business models, and simplifies processes. Its members include private companies, car importers, insurance companies, industry associations and road traffic authorities – and PostFinance as the payment provider.
- 2014 was the start of disruption in the payment world. The first mobile phone payment solutions emerged, creating a strategic challenge for PostFinance. As a result, PostFinance developed what is now the most widely known cashless payment system for smartphones in Switzerland.
- Smart online payment collection solution (robo payment collection): tilbago developed out of the needs of the debt collection market and new legal possibilities into an independent startup with an automated, state-of-the-art debt collection platform. In 2019, VNTR and tilbago won an award for the most exemplary partnership between an innovation unit and a startup.
- The CO2 calculator was the brainchild of an employee: it estimates the CO2 emissions caused by a person’s consumption based on card transaction data (PostFinance, credit card and TWINT). This helps to reduce emissions – and provides opportunities to offset them. All PostFinance private customers who have access to e-finance can use the CO2 calculator.
- TONI’s insurance-as-a-service offer enables other companies to quickly and easily launch their own white-label insurance programme. Alongside VNTR, an online solution was developed for a PostFinance car insurance. THe cooperation with the startup ensures the feasibility of the insurance service at PostFinance.
